Office for the Aging provides transportation to medical appointments within Wyoming County for individuals age 60 and over. Medical appointments should be kept between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and arrangements should be made at least 5 days in advance.
a. Suggested donation of $2.50 per 10 miles
b. All arrangements must be made through the Transportation Coordinator at the Office for the Aging at 585-786-8833 or 800-836-0067
c. Limited wheelchair transportation is available
Out of County Transportation
The Transportation Coordinator has a list of independent drivers who have indicated a willingness to do "Out of County" transportation for reimbursement of mileage. Normally the senior is responsible for paying the driver. (As of February 2009, due to grant money, the Office for the Aging is paying for a limited amount of these "Out of County" trips.) Always check with the Transportation Coordinator first; call 585-786-8833 or 800-836-0067.
