We are a primarily rural town in Wyoming County, located south between Buffalo and Rochester. With the Oatka Creek bordering the eastern side of the town and the Dale Valley on the west, the town includes the historic "Gaslight Village" of Wyoming on NY Route 19 and the hamlet of Dale on County Road 1.

Orangeville was formed in 1816. Our rural Town is centrally located in the county and is historically a farming community, once the largest cheese producer in the region. The name is believed to have come from early settlers who traveled from Orange County, New York.
