Wyoming County Sheriff's Office
Warsaw, New York
Road Division
The road patrol is the most visible division to the public. It is headed by patrol Captain David Linder. It is staffed with three shift sergeants and seventeen deputies. However, all the deputies do not perform routine patrol functions. Law enforcement has become diverse with officers performing a variety of specialized duties. Of the seventeen deputies, one is assigned to roving security of county buildings (including the hospital, and Department of Social Services), one is responsible for forensic work which includes evidence and arson investigation and three are assigned to courthouse security.

The remaining deputies perform typical police duties including accident investigation, storm related incidents, complaint investigation (harassment, larceny, burglary, etc.), vehicle lockouts and issuing traffic tickets to make our roadways safer.
