Captain Bruce James		 Although generally the least visible to the public, the jail is the largest division found under the direction of the Sheriff. The jail is run by Captain Bruce James. There are four shift sergeants as well as corrections officers who perform many varied tasks. Although the jail is viewed by most as just a place that houses criminals, it actually becomes much more to those who are incarcerated there. Since this is "home": to many, it must become much more than a place of confinement. A fully stocked and staffed kitchen provides three meals a day and an infirmary provides medical needs and prescription medicine. Indoor and outdoor recreation and exercise are provided as well as a library and educational programs. High school classes are provided to those who are of school age as well as GED classes for those interested in completing their high school education. An average of 15-20 graduate every year from the GED program. A well stocked commissary, or mini general store, is available for inmate purchases.

Visiting hours are Monday- Thursday from 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
