►Transportation

Office for the Aging provides transportation to medical appointments within Wyoming County for individuals age 60 and over. Medical appointments must be between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and arrangements must be made at least 5 days in advance.

a. Suggested donation of $2.50/10 miles.

b. All arrangements must be made through the Transportation Coordinator at the Office for the Aging at 786-8833 or 1-800-836-0067.

Out of County Transportation

The Transportation Coordinator has a list of independent drivers who have indicated a willingness to do out of County transportation for reimbursement of mileage. The current mileage rate is $.40 ½ cents per mile.

Wheelchair access for appointment outside of Wyoming County may be available through Genesee Region Independent Living Center at (585) 343-4524.

Public Transportation

Is provided by the Wyoming Transit Service at 786-6050 or 1-800-627-0481. The Transit bus can come right to your home and makes it possible to customize each day’s schedule to meet the needs of that day’s riders. The fee is $1.00 one way for senior citizens age 60 or over.
