THE OMEGA PROJECT
The OMEGA
Project is a community service based program for youth in Wyoming County.
The ultimate goal of this program is to provide restorative justice to the
community. Individuals are sentenced to the OMEGA Project through Family Court,
Youth Court, and the Probation Department. Community service hours are completed
at a variety of sites throughout the county, such as schools, churches, nursing
homes, libraries, fire departments and various others. In addition to community
service, OMEGA also offers tutoring to those same youth, where they will work
with peers and/or adults to learn study skills and improve academic standing.
Attendance may also be required at workshops, which focus on current issues
and events relating to the juvenile population, when available. For more information
on the OMEGA Project and/or Youth Court, please contact the Wyoming County
Youth Bureau at (585)786-8850.
