The Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Program is a public health program that provides information and referral services in health and related areas for families of CSHCN are those children from birth to 21 years of age who have or are suspected of having a serious or chronic developmental, physical, behavioral or emotional condition and who also require health and related services of a type or amount beyond that typically required by children.
Assistance
The CSHCN can help:
1. Link Families to community resources and programs to assist them in caring or their child.
2. Provide support and guidance with issues such as equipment, education, respite care, insurance and health care financing.
3. Connect families to appropriate support groups and networks.
